Nice little place. Touristy prices, but seems cheaper than the rest of the little places around it.
Food was good, and owner and waiters are nice.
Has a terrace (most do though), and a limited menu. I had the Sirloin with fries, it was really good. -

Food was basic but decent. Service OK, restroom was terrible. Nice view from the terrace.

Being French I know the reputation for obnoxiousness we have but seeing it in action is another matter altogether. I have never been so poorly treated as in this place. There were 7 of us for lunch, we were asked to not sit in the restaurant (maybe because we had kids... Not very clear) and then when a group of 11 came, we were asked to relocate to another even less practical spot. The waitress (owner?) was rude and disrespectful. They don't care because they get more business than they can handle, but it does not excuse the behavior.

We were looking for a nice place to have dinner in Rocamadour, and after walking the length of the town this place appealed to us the most. It was nicely lit, well-decorated, and overall quite welcoming. The staff was friendly and their lack of speaking English was only briefly a problem when my vegetarian friends were trying to order. (Try being a vegetarian in France! Ha!). We had a nice wine, and I went with the Rocamadour salad and cassoulet. The Rocamadour salad came with a small wheel of goat cheese, some walnuts, and a light dressing. It was quite delicious. Cassoulet is the regional specialty, a dish made of white beans cooked with multiple meats in a casserole dish. While they can be prepared with a variety of meats, this was prepared with leg of duck, bacon, and sausage. The flavors were excellent and the beans were richly saturated with the flavors of the meat it was slowly roasted with. Mmmm! I would definitely go back for more!
